Review: Caught up in a net of delicious stories.
I hadn’t meant it to happen. I didn’t have time to read another book. My “to be read” stack already reached heavenwards. However, I purchased SHADOW REFLECTION, took a quick look at the first story and “accidentally” started reading. That’s all it took. I was quickly pulled in and caught up in a net of delicious stories.
Ping-ponging between six enchanting tales by two delightful and masterful authors, I quickly became entranced. Sometimes, I enjoy the whimsical, sometimes a good ghost story, or a story that takes me to places I’d never dare to check out on my own. SHADOW REFLECTION covers all those bases. Its tales haunt the reader on many, many levels. And I loved them all.
Beautiful job, Bibiana Krall and Veronica Cline Barton. Your descriptions and characters are wonderful vehicles that transport the reader into the unknown. Sometimes, they lull you into a cozy, comfy feeling and then zap, they surprise or scare you! You come awake with a start and try to convince yourself it’s just a story, right?
Some of the stories give you an expanded view of the world and even the cosmos. None could possibly disappoint. Five stars and a hefty recommendation for this latest haunted book.
