Description:
In the Ghost Hunter novel, A Matter of Faith, Malachi Hunter has reluctantly benefited from traumatic times. The death of his father has given him his own business; the departure of his mother, his own house. Whilst coming to terms with the situation, he is tracked down and befriended by a policeman he met once when on a paranormal investigation. DC Maunder has a problem: his sister and niece are at the epicentre of an aggressive haunting. Grateful for the diversion, Malachi agrees to help, and finds himself involved in a potentially lethal struggle with a supernatural entity that he couldn’t have anticipated. His resolve will be taxed to the extreme as he defends his friend, his family, and the newfound love of his life.

Review: “A well written, scary page turner!”
Malachi Hunter (Mal) runs a landscaping business, but his passion revolves around being a ghost hunter!

“Ghost Hunter: A Matter of Faith” is the second book in the series. In the first book, “The Novice Ghost Hunter,” Mal is still getting his feet wet and lacks in confidence. Still, he knows how to go about the business of ghost hunting. In book two, Mal is a little older, more seasoned, and more confident. One of the things I liked about the series is that Mal’s character doesn’t remain static. He continues to grow both personally and professionally. And it’s a good thing that he is adept in skill and character. He comes face to face with a very dangerous antagonist, one that’s capable of hurting Mal physically. After one early encounter, Mal comes away with injuries, but his spirit remains undamaged. However, he’ll need all the strength he can muster as the story continues.

“Ghost Hunter: A Matter of Faith” also has an element of romance. Mal meets a woman named Teena who appreciates the chivalrous qualities that Mal exhibits. As they begin a relationship, Mal and Teena support and respect one another. Mal also plays a very caring role with Teena’s daughter, Carolyn.

I enjoyed Mal’s meticulous nature and the intelligent, courageous way he tries to deal with a very harrowing demon. This second book was very well written and had plenty of elements of danger that kept me reading. Of course, after I finished the book, I made sure to keep the lights on. Highly recommended!

Five Stars Five chilling stars!
