My Review: A riveting thriller that grabbed hold and wouldn’t let go! Five action-packed stars!

I don’t read many thrillers, but this one grabbed hold and wouldn’t let go! The author’s action packed debut had all the elements needed to deliver a riveting read. The main characters are easy to get to know and like from the get-go. I found myself enjoying their banter as they traveled. Once the action started, I was right there, holding my breath and hoping they made it through alive with the extreme danger they faced.

For me, it’s very important that the behavior of the characters, their dialogue and actions are believable. Scantland delivers on all counts. The characters involved were completely authentic, and their choices were in line with my practical, logical way of thinking.

In addition, the action scenes were very well crafted. The pace seemed spot-on, building up the tension in a way that brought home all the edge-of your-seat emotions a reader could want. I can highly recommend THE BLACKBIRD THREAT to any thrill seekers and also to people like me who simply enjoy a great read, one that keeps them turning pages. Five action-packed stars!
