Description:
Helen, wallowing in pain and shunning the world and everyone around her, happens across an inspirational quote in her local store after leaving the house for the first time in weeks. Instantly, its message awakens something within her and she books a flight to a country she has always wanted to go.

In India the sounds, sights and colours of this spiritual place, evoke a new awareness within her and the promise of release from the agony of her husband’s infidelity. An impromptu encounter and an invitation to a local wedding open up an unexpected path and a flood of long-forgotten feelings.

Review: A rich and sensuous feeling flows throughout the story.

This short story allows for a tender glimpse into the heart of a woman named Helen. After falling into the depths of depression over a failed marriage, she finds the courage to take another chance at life and love. She decides on a trip that will provide new and wonderful vistas to explore.

As Helen’s story weaves its way through India, I felt like I was beside her, a companion who could take in all the sights and smells. Whether I was viewing a ramshackle dwelling or a temple, I could vividly picture each place in my mind. And even if there’s mention of cow excrement in the street, it doesn’t dampen the sensuous feelings that are present throughout the book. A highly recommended peek into a woman’s blossoming romantic desires amid her beautifully described travels.
