We’ll be gathering by the fire once again at Rikkhe St. Claire’s lovely estate on the cliffs of Malibu. The holiday libations will be flowing, a chill is in the air, and Christmas tales from around the world will be told. They’re at times mysterious, a bit eerie, but all generously sprinkled with the magic of the holidays. Let’s see what’s on tap for this latest cozy, Christmas collection:

Krampus Wish
A movie premiere at an eerie estate in Malibu takes an unexpected turn. Will the naughty ones get a dose of Krampus fury?

Snow Globe
A thwarted love story gets a magical, second chance. Seeing is believing, or is it?

Pudding in the Mirror
A romantic rival is causing angst for a newlywed at Barrow Hall. Does a haunted mirror reveal the holiday mayhem yet to come?

Shillelagh
A last-minute job assignment in the Irish village of Moonganny leads to new friendships and an unexpected quest. Will the magic of the season prevail?

Star of Noel
Struggling, young, Parisian creatives receive a much-needed boost from a petit visitor from the spirit realm in the days before Noel. Can her kindness be repaid?

Which tale will be your favorite, and which one will make your mistletoe curl? Wishing you and yours a wonderful, holiday season!

My review: What a wonderful, festive book to launch your holiday reading!

A NOVEL NOEL has five different tales that kept me turning pages until I reached the end. When I finished the last story, I smiled. The author outdid herself. I enjoyed every tale and was totally engaged with the beautifully described characters.

All of the stories have mystery. They also include a touch of the supernatural. But that’s what makes a Christmas story a joy to read. Most have that wonderful feel of magic that warms the heart. All had endings that left me feeling like I’d eaten a delicious Christmas treat.

In the tale called “Krampus Wish,” there’s also something scary lurking. But that’s to be expected. Krampus is a character from folklore who punishes the naughty. In this story a movie maker who makes horror films needs a bit of the scary to learn some lessons.

My favorite of the five is “Star of Noel.” There’s so much to love about this story. One character, a charming little girl, is bright, sweet and cheerful. She couldn’t be more endearing even though she’s a ghost. Her helpful ways guide an artist to see beyond his normal take on life. It’s a delightful story that goes straight to the heart.

A NOVEL NOEL is a five star read to light up your holidays. It left me feeling warm and cozy!
