My review: What a wonderful, festive book to launch your holiday reading!
A NOVEL NOEL has five different tales that kept me turning pages until I reached the end. When I finished the last story, I smiled. The author outdid herself. I enjoyed every tale and was totally engaged with the beautifully described characters.
All of the stories have mystery. They also include a touch of the supernatural. But that’s what makes a Christmas story a joy to read. Most have that wonderful feel of magic that warms the heart. All had endings that left me feeling like I’d eaten a delicious Christmas treat.
In the tale called “Krampus Wish,” there’s also something scary lurking. But that’s to be expected. Krampus is a character from folklore who punishes the naughty. In this story a movie maker who makes horror films needs a bit of the scary to learn some lessons.
My favorite of the five is “Star of Noel.” There’s so much to love about this story. One character, a charming little girl, is bright, sweet and cheerful. She couldn’t be more endearing even though she’s a ghost. Her helpful ways guide an artist to see beyond his normal take on life. It’s a delightful story that goes straight to the heart.
A NOVEL NOEL is a five star read to light up your holidays. It left me feeling warm and cozy!
